Pulpdent è un’azienda di ricerca e produzione dentale a conduzione familiare fondata nel 1947 e impegnata nei suoi principi fondanti di educazione, prevenzione e cura dentale proattiva in modo che le persone possano vivere una vita più sana e produttiva.
La ricerca e lo sviluppo dei prodotti Pulpdent sono diretti a sbloccare i poteri di guarigione della natura con materiali bioattivi che imitano le proprietà fisiche e chimiche della struttura dei denti, si comportano favorevolmente nell’ambiente orale umido e massimizzano il potenziale di remineralizzazione.
Principi fondanti
Il fondatore di Pulpdent, il dottor Harold Berk, ha praticato l’odontoiatria per quasi 65 anni e ha insegnato alla facoltà della Tufts University School of Dental Medicine dal 1946 al 2005. I principi fondamentali del Dr. Berk continuano a guidare l’azienda:

Leadership
Don Berk has been with Pulpdent since 1976 and directs the engineering department and manages Pulpdent’s manufacturing facilities in Watertown, MA. Don holds a BFA in Ceramics from California College of the Arts. In his spare time he enjoys sailing, skiing, cooking and baking.
Lew ensures that Pulpdent’s operations align with overall corporate strategy. Prior to Pulpdent Lewis was Associate General Counsel for a national real estate developer, where he managed the company’s corporate legal needs and oversaw the financing of large-scale affordable housing projects. Lew is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Boston College Law School, where he was an editor on the Environmental Law Journal.
Wonder joined Pulpdent in 2015, bringing over 10 years of combined export and customer service experience from her tenures at PFERD Incorporated and Corning Life Sciences. She serves as the primary contact for Pulpdent’s international dealers, manages foreign orders and logistics, and ensures compliance with all relevant export regulations. Wonder holds an MBA in International Business from Southern New Hampshire University and a BS in Biology with a concentration in Biotechnology from Fitchburg State University. She is a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician through the PTCB and active in her community pharmacy hospital.
Fred Berk joined Pulpdent in 1980 and leads sales, marketing, client relations, operations and compliance. He is responsible for developing the content for Pulpdent’s digital and print communications. Fred is a graduate of Brown University and holds a BA in American Civilization.
Zoë Reiches is responsible for overseeing the human resources function at Pulpdent. The nature of her role allows her to work with all departments to focus on the needs of employees and the ever changing compliance landscape. Prior to joining Pulpdent, Zoë worked in HR in both financial services and the nonprofit world. She holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University.
Marcy Buckler has led Pulpdent’s sales team since 2013 and has more than twenty years of experience in the dental industry. A seasoned sales leader, Marcy is adept at finding, training and motivating sales professionals. Prior to Pulpdent, Marcy successfully managed sales teams and distributor relationships for large dental manufacturers and distributors in the US and Canada and has been a member of over 20 new product launch teams. Marcy holds a BA from American University and certificates in management and real estate from UCLA and NYU.
Christie is a creative problem solver with a passion for empowering women, promoting health, and developing new markets. She is responsible for overseeing Pulpdent’s Professional Relations, KOL Network, and International Business.
Prior to Pulpdent, Christie has successful experience in branding, high level marketing strategy, global market expansion, and sales leadership.
Christie holds a BA in Psychology, with a minor in English Language and Literature from the University of Montana, where she was involved in founding a non-profit health collaborative. She also studied Yoga and holistic health in India.
Marjorie joined Pulpdent in 1992 to establish a comprehensive quality system and manage regulatory affairs. She oversees ISO certification, CE marking, FDA quality system requirements, domestic and international regulatory compliance, 510(k) Premarket Notifications and quality control testing of Class I and II medical devices. Marge has a background in medical research and has worked at several Academic Medical Centers. She holds a BS in Biology from Le Moyne College and an MBA from Boston College.
Allison Millian is responsible for Product Marketing at Pulpdent. She joined Pulpdent in 2011 as the Sales & Marketing Associate, supporting the National Sales Manager, Director of Clinical Affairs and the Pulpdent Sales Team. She works closely with production, shipping and other departments to ensure that customer needs are met.Allison holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Salem State University. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and baking.

Certificati di qualità
Pulpdent Corporation possiede la certificazione ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003 e la direttiva sui dispositivi medici 93/42/CEE dal 1996. Il sistema di gestione della qualità di Pulpdent è stato valutato dal suo organismo notificato, LNE/G-MED, e certificato secondo gli standard e i regolamenti di cui sopra, nonché i requisiti del Codice dei regolamenti federali degli Stati Uniti, titolo 21, parte 820, regolamento sui sistemi di qualità, e il regolamento canadese sui dispositivi medici per la progettazione, la produzione e la distribuzione di prodotti speciali per la professione dentale. Mentre lo standard ISO 9001 è un modello generale per un sistema di gestione della qualità, ISO 13485 e la direttiva sui dispositivi medici sono specifici per l’industria dei dispositivi medici e richiedono controlli rigorosi, come la gestione formale dei rischi e un sistema di vigilanza internazionale per proteggere sia i pazienti che il personale sanitario. La certificazione secondo la direttiva sui dispositivi medici permette a Pulpdent di marcare CE i suoi prodotti dentali per la vendita nella Comunità europea. La certificazione secondo i regolamenti canadesi sui dispositivi medici consente a Pulpdent di detenere le licenze di Health Canada per i prodotti venduti in Canada.
